Message for U.S. Companies Interested in Providing Donations to China

The U.S. Department of Commerce supports the U.S. Government’s humanitarian efforts in response to the recent disaster in China. At the request of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), we want to take this opportunity to provide U.S. businesses with information regarding donations to humanitarian organizations working in China, should they wish to contribute.

USAID is coordinating the U.S. Government’s disaster efforts. Should businesses or individuals wish to make a donation, USAID states that the most efficient and effective way to help those affected by the disaster in China is to make a monetary donation to a humanitarian organization that is implementing disaster assistance programs there. Information regarding these organizations as well as USAID general recommendations regarding such donations is available at:
